Artist Teri Pohlmeier is a mostly self taught jewelry designer based out of Fuquay Varina, NC. She always loved pretty rocks and sparkly things, but it wasn’t until she was an adult that she discovered the world of jewelry making. She started out doing simple stringing and after experimenting with several styles settled into wire weaving. Shortly thereafter, she discovered bead embroidery, which she quickly realized she loved just as much as wire. Even though there is quite a difference between the two mediums, both took on Teri’s own personal style of semi-precious stones, crystals or glass elements combined with a metallic component. Designing and making jewelry began as creative escape from daily life, but turned into a passion for helping others learn to love themselves and making them shine. Whether it is a classic or one of a kind design, each piece she handcrafts is designed to highlight the beauty of the materials she uses, and celebrate the unique personality style of each and every person.
