Crafty Ginger Mama
Jennifer Marks comes from a long line of sewing women, and she still sews today on a vintage 1950's Singer that once belonged to her grandmother. Subtle contrasts are at the heart of her work - between the mundane and the whimsical; between the practical and the decorative; and between generations-old techniques and a quirky, modern sensibility. She’s a tree-hugger at heart and many of her creations aim to replace disposable everyday items with good-looking reusable ones. Thanks to (local!) innovations in fabric printing, Jennifer is able to create and sew heirloom-quality, custom-printed tea towels featuring her own graphic designs, vintage botanical illustrations, and even your own treasured family recipes. Additional creations include snack bags, food covers, and facial care rounds - all of which are easy to wash and reuse for years to come.
