Karen Casey Fused Glass

Karen Casey and her husband Arlen Custer are Durham, NC fused glass artists who have studied and experimented with glass and been inspired by this art form for over 30 years. In addition to unique fused glass jewelry designs, they also make hair accessories, vases, candle holders, dishes, clocks, mirrors, tables, picture frames, wine stoppers, nail files, and funky fused glass art pieces!  The artists use a saw to cut a combination of dichroic and other glass, then assemble the glass pieces into a unique design, before firing them in a kiln to “fuse” the glass pieces together. The result is one-of-a-kind, creative and affordable pieces of art that you can wear or display anywhere you like!  Karen is a founding member of the Durham Craft Market and can be found at the market with her husband Arlen on most Saturday mornings.  Come and visit us sometime!
