Kinsey is a self-taught stained glass, embroidery and bone artist based out of Durham, NC. She is also currently pursuing her PhD in biology at Duke University. Throughout her life she has experimented with many different mediums, such as painting, photography, drawing, pottery, embroidery, jewelry making, and most recently, stained glass. The one thing that connects each one of these crafts for her is the inspiration she draws from nature in her designs. Much of her artwork incorporates materials that have been found in nature (cruelty free), such as animal bones, flowers and insect wings.
In hopes to give back to the land that provides materials and inspiration for her artwork, she donates 8% of proceeds to the North Carolina Botanical Gardens. She accepts custom requests and loves to work with new clients to create new ideas for special pieces.
