Katie Hayes is a Hillsborough, NC-based printmaker specializing in place based design. She uses archival, sustainably manufactured papers, and North Carolina made inks. NSPH is strongly focused on nature, local culture and the environment. For example, she makes prints of popular skylines, such as Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Durham - but also, meticulously detailed naturalist prints of southeastern flora and fauna such as maypops, native ferns, hellbender salamanders, and great blue herons.
