Lori Melliere of Papermill Creative is a librarian-turned-artist who's inspired by all the things that make a place feel grounded and unique: its history, its architecture, its native flora and fauna, and the people who live and once lived there. She turns that inspiration into whimsical and meaningful Southeastern-inspired watercolor and digital artwork. Her art makes the perfect gifts to celebrate life milestones like graduations, weddings, and housewarmings. She has been working from her home-based studio in Durham, North Carolina since 2018.
When she's not in the studio, Lori loves to bake, read, and hike with her foxhound Miracle Max, and she takes her binoculars everywhere because you never know when you're going to encounter a cool bird.
