pflora metal arts
pflora metal arts is a collaboration between Phyllis Flora and Scott Mason. They each maintain their unique artistic voices, but also often blend their styles in collaboration pieces.
Phyllis' specialties are resin and enamel. In her unique resin pieces, she creates custom colors and embeds real pressed flowers or vintage watch parts for a steampunk influence. When working in enamels, she fuses glass to metal using a hand-held torch, then paints delicate designs using watercolor enamels.
Scott’s one-of-kind designs reflect a contemporary design sense, borne out in sterling silver and gold-filled metal, using traditional silversmithing techniques handed down over the ages. He often incorporates natural gemstones in his work.
