Ryann Carey is an artist based in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
She strives to paint the representational world converging with the emotional response it elicits. She let's her curiosity in exploring the world and road tripping guide her in capture moments on camera. Her photography is then turned into watercolor paintings, hopefully portraying not only what the eye has seen but also the feeling that a space and time evoked. She believes that, as humans, we are united through shared experiences and our emotional connection to the environment. Through her work, she hopes to evoke the common thread that binds us together.
