Seasaw is Cecelia. It’s a nickname that was given to her around the same time that she discovered linoleum block printing. She came back to this art form a few years ago after discovering a few old prints while cleaning out boxes. Flexibility of the medium is what draws her to it. That it can be used to make everyday practical things special is what she continues to explore. The blocks are hand carved using original images and are then loaded with ink and printed on flour sack towels, aprons, canvas totes and other pieces of fabric. The specialties of the house are aprons that have the printed towels attached to the front with three buttons. Seasaw also has a line of handmade, one of a kind, aprons and bags for kids and adults that are made from upcycled and re-purposed materials.
